How to pass time in Gothic Remake
About
Overview
You'll likely want to pass time when you first arrive in the Old Camp in Gothic Remake. If you're anything like me, you likely spent the whole first day exploring bits and bobs, so when you arrived at the main camp, it was already starting to get a bit gloomy and all of the town's NPCs were tucked up in bed. You might've tried to sleep in a bed to pass time, only to be rudely awoken by its owner, wondering why you're taking 20 winks in his shack. Well, the good news is that there's a bed and a house just for you in the Old Camp, and all you have to do is find them, which I'll walk you through below. You can pass time in Gothic by sleeping in a bed, but as with other RPGs, it can't be an owned bed. Whenever you try to sleep in a bed belonging to someone else (the sleep icon will be red), they will wake you up shortly after you nod off and won't be best pleased. Thankfully, though, you can get a free shack and a bed as soon as you arrive in the Old Camp near the start of the game. You can see how to get to the location in the video above. If you can't see it, then from the north entrance to the Old Camp (which you enter via when you first arrive), you'll want to: This shack is free and now yours. You can also see the location on the map above relative to the north entrance to the Old Camp that you can enter via. Also make sure to check the chest in here to grab the Forgotten Recipe quest. It's worth noting that you can find unoccupied beds in other locations, too. If you head to the Swamp Camp, there's a hut at the very top which you can reach by climbing the ladders and walkways until you reach the highest point—this will give you a place to rest if you join this faction, or when you're there on a quest.
